Our Easy Solar Installation Process: What to Expect When You Go Solar

Publish Date: November 1st, 2018

Alarming reports about climate change continue to come out, and with them the urgency to take action only increases. If you’re looking for something you can do to be part of the solution, going solar is an easy way to personally make a meaningful impact. Not only will you help the environment, you will also save money while doing it. At Namaste Solar, we provide an easy solar installation process while helping you save money and create positive change. Check out what 100's of our customers have to say about their experience going solar with us. Then read on to see what you can expect throughout the solar installation process when you choose us as your local solar partner.

Making Solar Easy

Namaste Solar has been serving the Colorado Front Range since 2005, and our team has installed thousands of home solar panel systems. During that time, we've dialed in the solar installation process to make it easy and hassle-free for our customers. The biggest decision you have to make is that first step of getting a free quote – we take it from there, guiding you through the process and taking care of all the details to create a smooth experience from start to finish.

“I want to empower you to make a decision by providing as much information upfront as possible,” says Adam Libs, a Namaste Solar home solar advisor. “We have the technology to remotely assess your home, so I can do everything with a phone call to get you started. Going solar doesn’t have to be difficult anymore.”

What to Expect During the Solar Installation Process

Once you’ve decided to go solar, our team is off and running with your project. Your project manager will finalize the logistics for your new home solar panel system and keep you updated as your installation date approaches. When installation date arrives, our crews will start by setting the attachments and rails, placing the conduit, and laying the panels for your solar array. The inverter will be installed, and the system will be prepped to connect with the utility’s electricity grid.

After your city inspector gives their approval, our team will then work with your utility company to have two new meters installed. Your utility meter will be replaced with a net meter that runs backwards when your solar system is producing more electricity than you’re using, and a production meter will be installed to track how much electricity your solar PV system produces. With these two meters in place, you can flip the switch and you’ll be powering your home with clean, abundant sunshine!

Many homeowners like to have a final walk-through to see how the system is turned on and to learn more about their new solar equipment. This is a great last step to wrap up your solar installation process. “We want to know you are comfortable and don’t have any lingering questions,” says Tony Martin, Residential Operations Manager at Namaste Solar.

It’s Easy to Go Solar

We’re here to answer any questions you may have and to provide you with a customized solar savings and return on investment report. It’s easy to make the switch to solar, you can save money, and you can help the environment. Ready to have a conversation about solar?

“Namasté provided and installed our home solar system 16 months ago and we haven't paid for electricity . . . since. We have had no issues with the system - Namasté was professional and efficient with the installation and there have been no issues with the system since it went on-line. . . . We couldn't be more pleased. The added bonus has been a much larger reduction than we expected in winter power bills - our initial estimate that the system would pay itself back in about 15 years has been halved. We are converts - if you're waffling, install your system now!" - Karen M., Denver, CO
